About Me
Hi! I'm Sarah, and traveling is my passion!
From a young age I knew that I would not be content just sitting still. I found the world fascinating! Ancient civilizations, cultural geography, world ecosystems… It all intrigued me. I can remember watching Ferngully as a child and yearning to see a real rain forest. I remember learning about the pyramids middle school and wanting to go to Egypt. The first time I watched Lord of the Rings I knew I needed to explore New Zealand. All of these little things we see as children take us to a place of fantasy and leave a real, lasting impression on our souls. Then as we grow, we realize that we can actually turn those fantasies into reality! That’s what I believe travel does- it brings our fantasies to life!
In school, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education. I've always known that traditional teaching wasn't my path, but my goal was still to educate others about the world. And, although it took a while, I finally realized that starting my own travel company and educating others through amazing, worldly experiences is what I was meant to do!
About Create My Adventure
When I sat down to write my business plan, my goal was to create something that was unique, and also very true to myself. Coming from a background very heavy in education, geography, and history, I knew that I needed to do three things:
1- Include all seven continents.
2- Go the extra mile and provide my clients with valuable information on their destinations. And...
3- Offer something truly unique and special. These aren't your average vacations, they are once-in-a-lifetime experiences!
I believe that 'adventure' should be defined as anything that's exciting and stimulating to you, personally! This may be a castle tour though Scotland, or an African Safari. It may be having a whole island to yourself for the week, or a year-long cruise around the world. No matter who you are, everyone is capable of having amazing adventures- and Create My Adventure is here to help bring them to life!
