POINTS OF INTEREST
Charming owner Francine Merryweather greets you at the door of this Aruban institution, which resembles a series of fishermen's huts. Her husband Herby sets out in his boat every morning, as he has since the late 1980s, to bring the freshest ingredients back to the kitchen. Order his catch prepared as you like (Aruban style—panfried with a fresh tomato, vegetable, and local herbs—is best) or another of the fine fish dishes. The fish soup is based on a family recipe and has been a staple on the menu for more than 25 years. If you book a fishing trip with their company Driftwood Charters, the chef will also cook up your catch for your dinner.
